We are all familiar with, probably the most popular flower in the world, the rose. Simple, elegant and timeless, the rose is the ultimate symbol of love and passion, but what are they good for other than to say  "I love you"? Well let's first look at the anatomy of a rose.

As you can see, there are so many parts that make up the rose, from its roots, to the thorns and up to those beautiful red, pink or white petals. Not only are rose petals, leaves and buds edible , but they make for phenomenal additions to hair and skin care products! Roses are also used for perfume and  aroma therapy.

What we use roses for here in the Natural Family Lab (my office) is their one of a kind skin care benefits! Rose extracts are very high in vitamin C, which we all know helps to stimulate collagen. They are also filled with vitamin E, which is like the number one moisturizer in skin care products.

Because of their ability to reduce redness and calm the skin, products with roses are a great choice for the skin. Rose have natural astringent and antibacterial properties so they work well with all skin times, especially good for acne prone skin. Don't take my word for it, give them a try for yourself. And if you're looking for a product to start with, I got you! Try our very popular "Cinnamon Rose Facial Serum"  and see for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by!
